The Journey of a Dedicated Educator

As I reflect on my life's journey, I am humbled and grateful for the opportunities and experiences that have shaped me into the educator I am today. Born and raised in a close-knit family, I developed a passion for learning and teaching from a young age, inspired by the dedicated educators who nurtured my own intellectual curiosity.

My journey in education began with a Diploma in primary education, propelled me to venture further, and I pursued my Bachelor of Arts Degree. However, after pursuing my bachelor, my thirst for knowledge was unquenched. I then immersed myself into further studies where I pursued a Master of Science Degree in literature and language arts. It was during this time that I discovered my love for the power of words to inspire, educate, and transform lives. Armed with a deep understanding of literacy and language arts, I embarked on a mission to share my passion for learning with others. Then the inception of Eagle's Heights Academy & STEM  Institute came to fruition.

 

Driven by a desire to lead and effect positive change in the field of education, I pursued a Master's in Educational Leadership and Management. This program equipped me with the knowledge and skills necessary to lead educational institutions effectively, foster a culture of excellence, and advocate for the needs of students, teachers, and the community.

 

Currently, I am on a journey towards further academic excellence as I pursue a Ph.D. in Education. This endeavour allows me to engage in rigorous research, explore innovative pedagogies, and contribute to the advancement of educational theory and practice. Through my doctoral studies, I am committed to addressing pressing educational challenges and championing initiatives that promote equity, diversity, and inclusion in schools and beyond.

 

On a personal note, I am blessed to be married to my loving partner, who has been my unwavering source of support and encouragement throughout my educational and professional journey. Together, we are blessed with some wonderful children who bring joy and inspiration to our lives every day. As a grandmother, I cherish the opportunity to impart wisdom, share stories, and instill a love for learning in the next generation.

 

Professionally, I am honoured to serve as the CEO/Principal of The Eagle's Heights Academy and STEM Institute, where I lead a team of dedicated educators in providing high-quality education that fosters academic excellence, innovation, and holistic development. Guided by a vision of educational excellence and student success, I am committed to creating a nurturing learning environment where every student can thrive and reach their full potential.
